LSCC is internationally certified cluster
In November 2011 the Latvian Supply Chain Cluster has received the European Cluster Excellence Initiative Bronze Label Certificate (LVA001201111ECEI0159). Common standards for excellent cluster management enable better mutual understanding necessary for transnational cooperation between cluster and network organisations and by this are important to promote successful international cluster co-operation, in particular for the benefit of the participating SMEs.
LSCC in the BSR STARDUST MARCHAIN project
Latvian Supply Chain Cluster (LSCC) and Latvian Logistics Association are participating in the BSR STARDUST MARCHAIN project.The MarChain is about connecting the national maritime clusters in the Baltic Sea Region for increased competitiveness of the macro-region.
LSCC is participating in the LogiCAD project
Latvian Supply Chain Cluster (LSCC) and Latvian Logistics Association are participating in the LogiCAD project. The aim of this project is to facilitate transfer of best practices and innovation generated within the LdV project "euCAD" (http://www.camis.pub.ro/eucad/) to professionals and other stakeholders working in the Logistics sector.
Cluster recommends to use the SCOR model in logistics
The Latvian Supply Chain Cluster (LSCC) recomends to use the SCOR (Supply Chain Operation Reference) model in logitics operations in companies. The LSCC is engaged in implementation of the SCOR model in the business environment in Latvia organizing training courses for companies.
Experience Exchange on Green Corridors and Best Practices for Port Hubs and Terminals
In order to improve green growth related transnational transfer of technology and knowledge project application "Experience Exchange on Green Corridors and Best Practices for Port Hubs and Terminals" is prepared and submitted by BSR STARDUST MarChain partners on April 5th 2013. Experience exchange group visits to Norway, Sweden, Finland and Estonia are planned within the frame of the project.
LSCC and CARGOTO cooperation for doing innovations in East-West freight logistics
Latvian Supply Chain Cluster and CARGOTO have started cooperation to describe and develop transport corridor in east west direction promoting new route that has potentially shorter leadtime and less fuel consumption. The corridor starts in the UK and goes to Gothenburg, through mid Sweden and Oskarshamn to Ventspils connecting Moscow, CIS countries and further to China.

WP2 "BSR Maritime Cluster development."
The goal:
Investigating and setting up the BSR maritime cluster.
Activities:
1. Regional maritime competence and capacity study: Identifying maritime organizations, competences and capacities that could be integrated into a BSR maritime cluster.
2. BSR maritime cluster operational strategy development: Developing the operational structure that could link national and regional maritime entities in the BSR towards the formation of an BSR Maritime Cluster.
3. BSR maritime cluster register: Collecting information on companies and other organizations interested in cooperating within the BSR maritime cluster as a basis for target cooperation; preparing information for ICT platform.
